-
In your opinion, what is the number one benefit of EHRs for providers and/or patients? Patients – in the future easier access to records. Better integration for all.
-
What made you decide to adopt EHRs? Hope to save time, money and better integration.
-
What kind of training did you provide to your staff when you began the transition? Online training with interactive and onsite training – Some were really excited and some were hesitant and/or reluctant. Most agree this has been a good move! Some of the most reluctant are the most positive now.
-
How have your patients reacted? Most are positive when the physician comes in with a computer. Good progression for the future.
-
How did Wide River TEC help you? They helped us focus on Meaningful Use and assisted with timetables.

What advice would you have for a colleague beginning the shift to EHRs? Spend the time to look at other systems. It will take more time and effort than you think. Be patient and ask questions. Site visits are key!
