Round 2 Awards Announced
Wide River Technology Extension Center (TEC) is pleased to announce 10 awardees for Round 2 of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Curriculum Development Awards. Instructors affiliated with accredited post-secondary institutions in Nebraska were invited to apply for an award up to $3000 to develop a curriculum that incorporates EHRs into new or existing course work. The purpose of the awards is to increase and strengthen Nebraska’s workforce in health information technology, which has become increasingly important with the national effort toward meaningful use of EHRs. There were 7 awards presented after Round 1. To view the lists of awardees from Rounds 1 and 2, see the awardee pages located in the Documents section to the right.
The Electronic Health Record Education: Building a Tech-Savvy Workforce event was held on October 12, 2011 at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska. To view the handouts from the event, click here.
